The essential oils constituting “Grove” aromatherapy blend complement each other’s properties and expand the methods of use.
Ingredients:
Pine essential oil (Pinus sylvestris L.), natural lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.)
Methods and amounts of use:
Whole body and foot scrub: mix 2 drops of this essential oil mix and 5 drops of plant oil into 50 g of fine rock salt, brown sugar or coffee grounds (pour everything into a box with a lid and give a good shake for even distribution of the oils).
Shower gel: put two drops of this mixture into a bottle of shower gel.
Aromatic bath: essential oils are insoluble in water, thus dissolve 10-30 drops of essential oil mix in a glass of milk, kephir, yoghurt, cream, a tablespoon of plant oil or some honey and then pour the mixture into your bath.
Cream or lotion: put 10-15 drops of the essential oil mix into 1 spoon of unfragranced cream or lotion.
Hand cream or lotion: one-time use: 3 drops of essential oil mix in 1 teaspoon of plant oil.
After-shave lotion: 40 drops of essential oil mix into 120 ml of apple vinegar or vodka and 80 ml of distilled waster.
Massage: 10-15 drops of essential oil mix into 2 tablespoons of plant oil.
Sauna: 15 drops of essential oil mix into 10 l of hot water for soaking besoms.
Insect repellent, room disinfectant: 8-10 drops into 1 litre of water. (for special vacuum cleaners or manual floor cleaning).
Aromatic lamp: 4-5 drops for 5 sq. m. area. For daily use (don’t forget to add warm water).
Facial steam bath: 2-3 drops into 1 l hot water.
Aromatic Carpet Freshener: Many have never thought about using pure essential oils in their cleaning routines, but as we become increasingly aware as a society of the environmental hazards of chemical pesticides and cleaners, pure essential oils become a natural alternative to enhance our home and lives in a natural, environmentally friendly way.
Start with a box of bicarbonate of soda available in the detergent section at the grocery store.
To 2-3 cups of baking soda (NaHCO3 ), add 25 drops of pure essential oil or their mixture. Make sure the drops of oil are crushed well and evenly distributed in the soda. To apply it to the carpet or rug, try shaking it off a large spoon or out of a large can with a shaker lid. An old powder bottle works well.
Put the bicarbonate of soda (NaHCO3) into a polyethene bag, then sprinkle with the essential oil and mix well. Seal the bag tightly and allow the aroma to permeate the soda for at least half an hour before vacuuming. As a bonus, if the dust bag does not need changing immediately, fragrance will waft from the air vent each time you use the vacuum cleaner; aromatherapy while you work!
